My Reflection
This term we did The Marshmallow Challenge.
We did this to work together as a team, communicate and problem solve as a class. It also helped us build healthy competition.
We found it challenging to think of a plan- this was so new to us!
We all had allocated jobs so nobody missed out in contributing
We did a lot of trial and error tests
It was so hard to keep it straight and stable!
We thought it would be easy but it was actually really hard!
Measurement- Length
This term we focused on Measurement. We have been doing some follow up tasks on Matific. Here is a screen recording of me working on one of my tasks.
I found this tricky because it was hard to make sure I had the ruler lined up with the bottom of the house
My next learning step is to learn more about measuring things accurately

The Hoiho
Reflection: We read a book on the NZ yellow eyed Penguin (Hoiho) and after we had to find out more information about them. I found this tricky because it was hard to find information on the internet. I am proud of the facts I found and how I presented my google drawing for my Blog.
Our Magma Experiement
LI: Discover what Magma looks like before a Volcanic Eruption.
Reflection: For this video we had been learning a lot about Volcanoes this term. We asked Miss Wyeth what Magma looks like inside a Volcano when it is boiling. She came back to us with this experiment and we tried it out on a Friday.
I found this lesson fun because it was really cool when we shook the bottle and the oil and water made big looking bubbles, we then watched it go back to its place cause it wouldn't mix.
My Monster Brainstorm
LI: Brainstorm Ideas About our Creative Monster.
This term our writing focus is poetry. We have designed our own monster. For this task we needed to brainstorm everything about it so we can write a free-verse poem about him/her. We will be using the figurative language we learnt about: Onomatopoeia, hyperbole,Alliteration and Rhyme.
