Describing a Setting
This term I have been learning to describe a setting:
Success Criteria:
The sun rises up making the clouds a pinky, orange
colour. The water splashes down like a waterfall. The
grass is light green and the mountain is as tall as the
Sky Tower. It pulls me in like I was there.
Reflection: It was hard to think of words to describe the picture. It was easy to do think of some words. I could use a simile about the mountain. I used some describing words to describe the colour of the clouds.
Success Criteria:
- use describing words
- use language features e.g. similes and alliteration,
- use my senses (see, hear, feel,)
- hook the reader into feeling what it was like
